Welcome at the homepage of the centre for biophysics and bioinformatics
The Centre for Biophysics and Bioinformatics (BPI) was founded at the Humboldt-university
to Berlin in June, 2000. The aim of the BPI is the common co-operation of study
groups of the Humboldt-university to Berlin which research in the fields of
the Biophysics, the Bioinformatics, as well as the molecular biology and cell
biology.
Study groups are involved by three faculties:
- the faculty of mathematics and natural sciences I,
- the faculty of mathematics and natural sciences II
- and the Medical faculty.
Fundamental aims of the BPI are:
- a modern and extensive teaching in the fields of the biophysics and the bioinformatics
- an interdisciplinary research network in fields of experimental and theoretical oriented
biophysics and bioinformatics
