field of work: Main topics are the pre-, peri- and early postnatal development of regulatory systems and the long lasting influence of modification in prenatal environmental (epigenetic) factors on postnatal development, health, performance and behaviour. We use precocial bird species (chicken, ducks, turkeys and quails) as model. The investigations are focused on central regulation of body temperature, metabolism, and food intake and body weight.
