Call for papers

Presentations may cover the following topics in relation to the urban focus of the symposium:

- Megacities, urban/suburban growth
- Differentiation of the inner structure of cities
- Human settlements and impact analysis
- Quantification/estimation of sealed surfaces
- Remote sensing of urban vegetation
- Models of urban change and remote sensing
- Digital photogrammetric applications
- Geometric VHR data for urban applications

- Ecological aspects of urban/peri-urban landscapes
- Remote sensing of contaminated land in urban areas
- Remote sensing, GIS and urban information systems
- New observation systems for urban monitoring
- Hyperspectral sensors and urban remote sensing
- Radar applications
- Thermal remote sensing

Manuscripts are to be submitted digitally until 20 Jan 2006.

Manuscript instructions: Authors should aim for a six page manuscript including figures and list of references. Manuscripts must not exceed 8 pages. Absctracts should be typed in Word for Windows PC format using the EARSeL style sheet. Download stylesheet.

Oral and poster presentations will similarly present state-of-the-art in research and full papers will be published in the same way. A selection of papers will be suggested for publication in the EARSeL eProceedings.
