Baltic Sea Region Studies worldwide
BalticStudyNet is a networking programme for the promotion
of higher education in the Baltic Sea Region and beyond. One of
its specific aims is to map higher education institutions and existing
study programmes. That is why BalticStudyNet is dedicated
to collect information on Baltic Sea Region Studies and related
study programmes as well as make this information available to the
public, e.g. through this website.
At the moment, this is still an on-going process, but we hope to
be able to complete our research soon. Until then, information on
programmes of study related to the Baltic Sea Region is available
for the countries listed below and in the menu to the left.
On each page you find a selection of departments and centers that
offer programmes of interest for the Baltic Sea Region. That includes
departments that deal with either German, Scandinavian or Russian
and East European Studies. We have also tried not to limit the list
to one academic level, that is you can read about undergraduate
programmes as well as about programmes leading to a M.A. or Ph.D.
degree.
