Brief Project Description

The Pite Saami Documentation project shall create and archive current linguistic documentation of Pite Saami (also known as Arjeplog Saami), a severly endangered and essentially moribund Saami language spoken by a mere handful of Saami in and around Arjeplog, Sweden. The project will ultimately result in modern wordlists and grammatical descriptions as well as a dissertation on morphophonological alternations in this language.
