Mini Abstract:

In this talk I will present the wide range of structures used in Catalan syntax to express topicality, namely clitic left-dislocation, right-dislocation, hanging topic left-dislocation, and the as for construction. Both a syntactic and interpretive characterization will be offered, making reference to their placement in sentence structure, and the challanges they pose for a minimalist approach to syntax.
