The Basque in Spain and France - a Comparison, and Thoughts on the Importance of Regions in the EU
In my exposition I will have a short look at the history of the Basque
conflict and at the current development. The status of the autonomies in
Spain and the status of France in respect of language and self-government
will be compared. Furthermore I will discuss the importance of the regions
in the Europe Union. Finally the importance of nationalities will be under
discussion.
