Bard College

Kate Crockford, a second-year History and Human Rights major with a concentration in Levantine studies, organizes campus-wide educational events and direct action with Bard Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and the Student Action Collective (SAC), and writes frequent columns and news for the award winning Bard newspaper, the Free Press. Thanks to a grant from the Bard Human Rights Project, the 20 year old Boston native traveled to Palestine in the summer of 2003 to work with the non-violent, Palestinian-led International Solidarity Movement (ISM).
