The goal of my research in Dushanbe from March until May 2004 was the collection of documents about the history of broadcast in the Tajik SSR. The period of investigation for the work lasts from the beginning of daily broadcasting in Dushanbe in April 1930 till 2nd WW. The research project should give an overview about the development of broadcasting ("radiofikacia") in the region and its role for the soviet power within the stalinist system. From the relevance of the broadcast for soviet campaigns arose other questions, e.g. broadcasting and collectivization.
In the regional context the reception of this medium should be seen under the conditions of the soviet cult of modernization, which initially started already before 1930.
