Research Stream: Berlin Polarization Monitor

Short Vita

I am a Full Professor of Political Science with emphasis on the Political Sociology of Germany at the Otto-Suhr-Institute of Political Science at Freie Universität Berlin. My research focuses on political attitudes and political behavior of citizens, especially in the context of elections. In my recent work, I have looked at the political attitudes and voting behavior of young voters (in the context of the debate about lowering the voting age), but also patterns of affective polarization in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. I am also interested in the interaction of electoral systems and patterns of political representation.
