Become an EU Careers Ambassador!
As part of an exciting initiative to promote careers with the EU institutions we are looking for student representatives from top academic Universities across Europe.
We are looking to find one student to become our 'Ambassador' and promote EU Careers on your university campus.
Your role would involve:
Acting as a point of contact for students
Giving presentations on EU Careers to your fellow students
Coordinating events
Targeting university networks to spread the message of EU Careers
Putting up posters and handing out leaflets to those interested in an EU Careers
Informing students about our Facebook and Twitter pages
So what's in it for you?
Firstly, we will be paying for all our Ambassadors to take part in a training session in Brussels. Not only will this be a great opportunity for you to learn a range of new skills, but you will be able to meet other Ambassadors from throughout Europe and take part in the social activities we will be organising. Expenses will be covered by us.
Secondly, a position of responsibility like this will look great on your CV! Acting as an EU Careers Ambassador, with all the responsibility that is entailed, you will develop many of the qualities which are highly valued by graduate employers.
And now to the practical details
A bit more background about us- we are the European Personnel Selection Office and carry out staff selection for all the European Institutions and agencies, including the European Commission, Parliament and Council. As well as carry out selection of staff we also work to promote EU Careers. More information can be found on our website www.eu-careers.eu .
We are looking for one EU Careers Ambassador from your University to represent us from autumn 2012 until autumn 2013. During that time you will receive regular guidance from us.
We are looking for motivated candidates with excellent communication skills.
