The world is changing fast and especially when you have moved countries and academic systems, finding your feet and making sense of the world around you can often feel challenging. It sometimes feels hard to define what is normal and what is new, values might be blurred and priorities hard to pinpint.
In this interactive workshop, we will focus on these moments of uncertainty and we’ll help you identify and understand the skills you have been honing as an international in such moments which equip you to move with confidence in rapidly changing workplaces. Working together as a group you will uncover the future-ready skills you already possess — and learn how to describe them clearly and convincingly to others. There will be a chance to share notes and experiences and collectively gain insight into how workplaces and expectations are changing and what that means for you as an international and for your career going forward. We will round off the session by each creating our individual tool-boxes of practical strategies for thriving in ambiguous, fuzzy, undefined and fast-moving situations and reflect on our next steps.
