Some lab members later came to term this \u201cphenomenography\u201d and our lab has been developing and discussing this approach for almost a decade now.\u00a0After Stefan\u2019s unexpected and much too early passing,\u00a0some of us elaborated on how phenomenology and practice theory can be brought together in the study of phenomena as they are being enacted using examples from research fields such as neuroscience, psychiatry or reproductive medicine (Niew\u00f6hner et al. 2016). In this latest German-language publication, lab members Patrick Bieler, Milena Bister and J\u00f6rg Niew\u00f6hner now extensively discuss how they understand phenomenography to be routed both in the tradition of phenomenology and practice theories.
