Alice Wong, writer, activist, and founder of the Disability Visibility Project, passed away at the age of 51 after battling an infection.<br \/>\nAlice\u2019s legacy is defined by her fierce commitment to centering the stories and agency of disabled people. Her activism was deeply intersectional: she fought not only for access, but for autonomy, community, and dignity for disabled people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, immigrants, and others, whom ableist systems ignored and failed.<br \/>\nFor LAEHR, Alice\u2019s lifelong advocacy serves as an enduring reminder that environmental and disability politics are deeply interconnected.
