Artificial Intelligence in Natural Sciences
27 – 30 June 2025 | Blossin

This year, we had exciting discussions, lectures, and workshops focused on the intersection of AI and science. We explored key areas such as algorithms, education, imaging, and communication with about 30 women from all career levels active in different fields of science—from physics to chemistry and from mathematics to computer science.

One highlight was the participants’ presentations on their own research topics and questions. Additional workshop sessions on career development enhanced the interactive community-building spirit. The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with particular emphasis on the energetic and inspiring atmosphere of the event.

This year’s edition, was organized by Prof. Caterina Cocchi (Uni Jena), Prof. Zsuzsanna Heiner (HU Berlin), Dr. Petra Metz (HU Berlin) and Caren Tischendorf (HU Berlin).

Some impressions from the participants:
“The summer school was a great experience, and I would like to participate everytime, if possible.”
“The interdisciplinary idea of the summer school itself is very unique, as it offers an international community in such a friendly atmosphere and respectful environment.”
“Overall, it was very satisfiying, I will recommend it for 2026!”
