Dr. Moumita Koley

I am a senior research analyst at the DST-Centre for Policy Research at IISc, Bangalore, and a Research Fellow at the Research on Research Institute (RoRI) in the UK. My research work focuses on advancing the accessibility of scientific knowledge, fostering an efficient and responsible research ecosystem, and promoting research that responds to local needs. I am a member of the International University Association (IAU) Open Science Expert Group and serve on the steering committee of the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), representing Asia. I worked as a consultant for the International Science Council’s Future of Scientific Publishing project between March 2023 and June 2024.

Dr. Panchami Jose

I am working as a Project Scientist at the DST-Centre for Policy Research, IISc, working on a project that explores how research evaluations shape knowledge, identity, and exclusion. My research is rooted in understanding how institutional practices and power dynamics quietly (and sometimes not-so-quietly) shape academic experiences. During my PhD, I explored how biology classrooms construct and regulate sexual identities, often reinforcing dominant social norms. I am broadly interested in education, gender and sexuality, marginalisation, and the messy overlaps between science, technology, and society.

Dr. Chandan Ganjigere Nagarajappa

I am working as project scientist at DST-CPR, IISc, Bengaluru. My overarching goal is to develop informed policy recommendations within the scientific domain through data-driven insights. To accomplish this, I am exploring the integration of data analysis and artificial intelligence techniques to address pressing policy questions. I am particularly interested in data-driven policy analysis, scientometrics, bibliometrics, and research assessment, where I apply machine learning and AI methods to evaluate scientific impact, inform policy decisions, and improve research evaluation processes. Passionate about leveraging interdisciplinary approaches, I aim to advance understanding at the intersection of science and policy, fostering more effective and evidence-based decision-making.
