Prof. Dr. Rita Faria

Rita is assistant Professor in Criminology at the Faculty of Law - University of Porto (FDUP). She holds a BA in Law, 2 years of internship as junior lawyer and then followed to research crime and deviance at FDUP. She started with an MA in Sociology in research misconduct in Portugal and progressed to do a PhD in Criminology about research misconduct and social control in Europe. Rita is a Principal Investigator in this project.

Dr. Adrián Jiménez Ribera

Adrián Jiménez Ribera is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto (FDUP). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and a Master’s degree in Criminology and Security from the University of Valencia, Spain. He completed his PhD in Criminology with a dissertation examining the desistance narratives of former prisoners with long-term criminal trajectories. His research focuses on Narrative Criminology and crime prevention.

Luísa Barcelos

Luísa is a Junior Researcher at the CIJ - Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Justice, at the Faculty of Law, University of Porto. She holds a BA in Criminology and is currently pursuing a Master’s in the same field at the University of Porto. Her main research interests include transnational security issues, particularly extremism and cybercrime.
