Multimodal Research Devices

Scenographic Encounters at the Zauderbude

How can we stage encounters through multimodal research devices? Rebecca Wall and Felix Marlow will host this session at the Zauderbude, their on-site research device at Haus der Statistik. After exploring the Zauderbude’s genealogy and how it works as a scenographic setting in their research, they propose ways to rethink the format of the ethnographic interview.  They will then lead us in a hands-on session in collage-making as a technique for imagining how examples from the Zauderbude might influence our own research practices.

Everyone is welcome for this on-site session. Snacks & Drinks will be provided.

Date: Wednesday, 5 July
Time: 16:00-19:00
Location: Haus der Statistik (Innenhof/inner courtyard)
next to Autoscooter (across from Berolinastraße 19 – see map)
