Short bio
Elisabeth Luggauer is a Cultural Anthropologist and focuses on more than human perspectives on urban spaces. She has special interests in multispecies and multimodal ethnography and southeast European cities.
In her PhD project (University of Graz, Austria) Elisabeth explored how humans and stray dogs inhabiting Podgorica (Montenegro) co-make the city as a multispecies everyday space.
Elisabeth is currently focusing on the exposure of human and other than human bodies to urban heat islands. She is particularly interested in the challenges heat poses to multispecies urban life, and researches which concepts of urban futures heat induces or provokes.
