The "Stadtlabor for Multimodal Anthropology" aims at developing ‘an anthropology of/as urbanism’. It critically explores governmental, everyday, insurgent and more-than-human practices of city making. It also experiments with ethnography as a more-than-textual, multimodal practice.

Here is the Video-summary of the two online events part of “The values of multimodal projects” workshop.

The first, which took place on 26.01.2022, had as a main question “How to exhibit Anthropologically?” – in it Francisco Martinez spoke about “How to Make Ethnographic Research with Exhibitions” and Manuela Bojadžijev about “Archive of Refuge”.

The second, which took place on 09.02.2022, had as a main question “How to stage issues anthropologically” – in it Cristiana Giordano & Greg Pierotti spoke about Affect Theater: Collaborations between Anthropology and Performance and Jörg Niewöhner and Pauline Münch (AnthropoScenes) about “Linking participatory methods with theatre to imagine sustainable futures”. The video wishes to contribute to the articulation of our criteria for the (e)valuation of multimodal projects.
