The "Stadtlabor for Multimodal Anthropology" aims at developing ‘an anthropology of/as urbanism’. It critically explores governmental, everyday, insurgent and more-than-human practices of city making. It also experiments with ethnography as a more-than-textual, multimodal practice.

Homage: in Conversation with Latour

Film Screening and Discussion

This is a joint event by Stadtlabor for Multimodal Anthropology and Laboratory: Anthropology of Environment | Human Relations at the Institut für Europäische Ethnologie, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin

We plan to enter into conversation with Latour in two ways: by displaying parts of one of his last detailed interviews (for the TV channel Arte) followed by short reflections of invited guests on how Latour has influenced their thinking and (epistemic and/or activist) doing. The event will end with a more informal part, where discussing and remembering can be done over snacks and a glass of wine.
