The "Stadtlabor for Multimodal Anthropology" aims at developing ‘an anthropology of/as urbanism’. It critically explores governmental, everyday, insurgent and more-than-human practices of city making. It also experiments with ethnography as a more-than-textual, multimodal practice.

First session on Stadtlabor’s Multimodal Winter Series 25/26

We kick off this semester’s multimodal event series with a workshop called “ENABLING ETHNOGRAPHY: Crafting Anti-Ableist Fieldwork Methods” by Erin Durban

The event will take place next Monday, October 20, 2025 from 4-6pm at Institut für Europäische Ethnologie (IfEE).
