Marc Erhardt

Professor of Molecular Microbiology, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Max Planck Fellow at the Max Planck Unit for the Science of Pathogens.

Marc Erhardt studied biology in Ulm and Konstanz and did his diploma research at the University of Utah. He performed his PhD research at Heidelberg University, the University of Utah and the University of Fribourg and received his PhD from the University of Konstanz in 2011. After postdoctoral research in Fribourg, he led a Helmholtz Young Investigator group at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research in Braunschweig from 2013 to 2017. He joined Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin as professor of Bacterial Physiology in 2017 and has been full professor of Molecular Microbiology since 2023.
