Workshop #3 Program

  • Post category:event / toolkit

For our third and last workshop, we have invited a group of colleagues having prominent roles in publishing venues (journal and book series editors), anthropological associations, multimodal anthropology networks and degree-awarding institutions.

In the workshop we plan to do two main things: (1) presenting in full the elements of our toolkit for the e/valuation of multimodal projects, and (2) submit them to a collective test, enrolling the expertise of these colleagues in gate-keeping positions in the discipline to evaluate a selection of multimodal works – a book+audiovisual material+website, a game, a graphic ethnography, a film. Our main in doing so is providing the grounds for a conversion on whether the elements of our kit enable them to identify and articulate the value(s) of multimodal works to institutionalise them in further gatekeeping encounters.
