Towards the screening spectrum of Yang-Mills Theory at high temperature
Abstract:
“I show the foundation for the first detailed study of the screening spectrum of SU(3) Yang-Mills theory at very high temperatures using lattice field theory. This spectrum can be used to check the validity of an effective theory at high-temperature, which is used in a wide variety of phenomenological calculations. In particular, I focus on the scalar and pseudoscalar channel where one encounters a very bad signal-to-noise ratio using conventional hybrid Monte-Carlo simulations. A multilevel algorithm is used to reduce the noise significantly, and the expected variance reduction is studied.”
