In the upcoming Student Seminar Alessandro Cotellucci will give an introduction to Lattice Field theory
Abstract: Lattice field theory is a powerful tool for understanding the non-perturbative behaviour of strongly interacting field theories. In this blackboard talk, I will present the basic notions considering the most relevant application: QCD. I will start from the discretization of the pure Yang-Mills action to introduce the generation of the configurations and to measure a well-known quantity as the string tension.
