Abstract: Supersymmetry can be described geometrically by enlarging spacetime with additional fermionic directions labeled by Grassmann coordinates θ, so that its action is described by a shift along these directions. This viewpoint motivated the development of a rich mathematical framework for supersymmetric theories. However, despite this progress, the foundations of integration on supermanifolds remained subtle and posed technical challenges. In this talk, I will explain why a naïve extension of differential forms to supermanifolds does not yield a consistent notion of integration, and how the introduction of integral forms resolves these difficulties. If time permits I will comment on the application of this framework to the construction of SUSY/SUGRA actions.
