Excited-states contaminations are a widespread problem in lattice simulations. Their size can exceed the groundstate signal in the relevant time intervals and thus prevent the precise determination of important physical observables. In my talk, I will use Heavy Meson Chiral Perturbation Theory, an effective theory for small pion momenta and masses and heavy B/D mesons, to investigate the effects of excited-states on the determination of the BB*Pi coupling constant and the B -> Pi form factors.
