The speaker of this Student Seminar is Davide Scazzuso. He will talk about

Quantum gravity and volumes

Abstract:

“Jackiw-Teitelboim (JT) gravity is a simple solvable model of quantum gravity in two dimensions that has proven to be a useful toy model of holography in recent years. In this talk I will review the connection between JT gravity and Weil-Petersson volumes. If time allows, I will also speculate on deformations of such theories and general properties of the mathematical structure underlying topological gravity.”

The Zoom link will be distributed to RTG students by email and can be requested from Andres Stump or Giuseppe Casale.
