Title: Flavour Physics

Abstract: In this talk I will give an introduction to flavour physics. I will touch on the generation of quark masses via couplings to the Higgs boson and how the CKM matrix arises. I will then give some examples of tests of the CKM matrix.

Title: Renormalization of scalar effective field theories

Abstract: I will discuss the renormalization of scalar effective field theory. We have calculated the anomalous dimensions of various higher-dimensional operators at high loop order. These provide valuable data that can be compared to non-perturbative results at the Wilson-Fisher fixed point. I will also discuss non-trivial structure in the (perturbative) anomalous dimensions, in the form of zeros and their dependence on the number of flavors.
