October was a particularly exciting month for our RTG, as three of our PhD candidates successfully defended their doctoral theses and officially completed their PhDs!
Maria Kallimani was the first to celebrate this milestone, successfully defending her thesis entitled “Color-kinematics duality from homotopy algebras and worldline field theory” on 12 October 2026, under the supervision of Olaf Hohm.
Just four days later, on 16 October 2026, Giuseppe Casale successfully defended his thesis, “Homotopy algebras, double copy and generalised dualities in supergravity”, also under the supervision of Olaf Hohm.
On 28 October 2026, Andres Stump completed this series of successful defenses by defending hist hesis entitled “Doubly heavy tetraquark spectroscopy from lattice QCD and efficient distillation using position-space sampling”, under the supervision of Agostino Patella.
We warmly congratulate Maria, Giuseppe, and Andres on this fantastic achievement! We are proud to have been part of your PhD journeys and wish you all the very best and every success in your future careers!
