We are happy to announce that the German Research Foundation (DFG) has renewed funding for our Research Training Group for another 4.5 years! The first cohort of PhD students of our second funding phase will start their doctoral studies in October 2024.  

The Karl-Scheel-Preis 2024 of the Physikalische Gesellschaft zu Berlin has been awarded to RTG postdoc Dr. Gustav Mogull, together with Dr. Tom S. Seifert from Freie Universität Berlin. The awards ceremony is on 20.6.24 at 17:15 at the Magnus-Haus, Am Kupfergraben 7, 10117 Berlin.

We are very proud to announce that our own Dr. Julien Barrat has won a Springer Thesis Award 2024 for his PhD thesis, Line defects in conformal field theory. Congratulations to Dr. Barrat!
