We are delighted to invite you to this winter term’s program which contains joint reading sessions, ‘live’ discussions in the presence of book authors, (guest) presentations and a final discussion on the role of anthropology in our crisen-laden times. As you’ll notice, we have switched to biweekly public meetings. We’ll start on October, 20th.
This semster’s topics will span a wide range: the microbiome and new forms of biopolitics, epigenetics and the postgenomic ‘turn’, a reflection on STS ontolgies as well as knowledge of and emergency governance in times of (environmental) crises. Our guests will be Luca Chiapperino, Eva Haifa Giraud, Andrew Lakoff, Jamie Lorimer and Adriana Petryna.
