I am a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and European Ethnology at Goethe-University Frankfurt and a research associate at the Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities Essen.
My research interests include Anthropology of Policy, Urban Anthropology, Civil Society Engagement and Energy Transition, Science and Technology Studies as well as Human-Environment Relations.
The working title of my dissertation is “Opening the toolbox… Cultural anthropological insights into current ‘sustainability’ efforts”. In this research I am looking at a specific type of policy instruments used by diverse actors in order to further ecological sustainability transformations in cities. My fieldwork focus lay on Almada (PRT), Essen (GER) and Malmö (SWE) but I also followed these instruments to Brussels, Aveiro or Frankfurt (Main).
