Britta Acksel works as scientific advisor for methods of transformation research at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment, and Energy. A cultural anthropologist with a focus in STS her research interests are (among others) urban sustainability governance, human-environment relations, inter- and transdisciplinary research, energy transition, and participation. She holds a doctorate from Goethe-University Frankfurt and teaches at the University of Wuppertal. Britta is a member of the Young Academy for Sustainability Research at the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Study.
