Guest Lecture: “When Humans Study Panda Kin Recognition: Challenges of Decentering the Human in Species Conservation” by Christof Lammer

On January 23, Christof Lammer (Humboldt University of Berlin & University of Klagenfurt) visited the Lab and gave a talk about his current project! Christof is currently based at The Centre for Advanced Study inherit. heritage in transformation at HU and works on the research project ‘Panda Heritage – Kinship Measurements and Life’s Value in Species Conservation’. In this project, Christof explores scientists’ studies of kinship recognition and kinship measurement as attempts to decenter the human in heritage-making. We are thankful for his contribution and the lively exchange!
