Fieldtrip "Human Currents, Natural Flows: Walking the Anthropocene at Slatinský Brook”, organised by Karolína PauknerováMembers of LAEHR and the IRI THESys are now part of a new international partnership between collaborating researchers from Prague, Vienna, and Berlin on the subject Anthropocene Ruptures: Crossing Borders, Building Connections.
The goal of the project is two thematic workshops dedicated to interdisciplinary and transnational discussions on the Anthropocene and Central Europe’s role in Anthropocene research.
The first of these workshops took place on October 9-10, 2025, in Prague.
The program included panels, discussions, and a field trip with the title “Human Currents, Natural Flows: Walking the Anthropocene at Slatinský Brook”. The trip to Slatinský Brook was led by Karolína Pauknerová (CTS CU and CAS) and included exploring the area and insights into its development.

From LAEHR and IRI THESys attended the members Paz Araya, Milena Bister, Axel Klie, Gwen Moiles, and Tomás Usón.
More information on the collaboration and the workshop can be found on the Anthropocene Website of the Center for Theoretical Study (CTS).
The next networking workshop on Anthropocene research will take place at Humboldt University in Berlin in June 2026.
