I am a research associate at the German Maritime Museum, Leibniz Institute for Maritime History, working in the research project REMARCO. I am also affiliated with the Institute for European Ethnology at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, where I received my Master’s degree in Ethnography. For my master’s thesis, I explored the knowledge production and infrastructural efforts related to wave buoys in the North Sea in the context of storm surges and rising sea levels. My current research focuses on dumped munitions in the North Sea after the Second World War.
My research links human-ocean relations, science and technology studies, multispecies entanglements, knowledge production processes, and environmental anthropology.
