Certificates and ECTS

Read here what you should consider ensuring the benefit of the academic internship to your studies.

Recognition of your participation in the Humboldt Internship Program
For successful participation in the Humboldt Internship Program, you will receive a certificate of participation, a transcript of records and study points according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Your research stay is considered successfully completed if you were present for at least 80 percent of the working hours and completed all work tasks. The final assessment is the responsibility of the project supervisor.

The certificate of attendance and transcript of records will be made available in digital form within eight weeks of the last day of the program. Printed copies can also be issued on request. While the certificate of participation is handed over directly at the end of the program, the transcript of records can be sent to your personal home address or to your home university. In the latter case, the contact person or department of the university must be specified. Please provide the address exactly as you would like it to appear on the envelope.

Successful participation in the Humboldt Internship Program is generally rewarded with 15 ECTS credits (study points). One ECTS point corresponds to a workload of 25 to 30 hours. Before registering for the Humboldt Internship Program, please enquire at your home university about the transferability of study points.
